1973 Kawasaki KZ 900 Left Side Front Engine Stator Cover

  • The Stator Cover is typically located on the left side of the Engine (as you are sitting on the bike). The Stator is mounted to the inside of this cover, which holds the Stator in a fixed position relative to the Rotor (aka Flywheel), which is mounted on the end of the Crank and turns as the Engine Turns.
  • A used Stator Cover will be structutally sound. It will not be cracked, will not leak oil, and all mounts will be undamaged. On bikes equiped from the factory with Chrome Stator Covers, used covers will be clean (with only light/fine scratches) and ready for installation after polishing. Painted Stator Covers may be nicked, scratched or rashed, so purchasers concerned about the cosmetic appearance of this part should plan on sanding and repainting with hi-temp paint prior to installation.

  • Kawasaki Model Identification Note: On all Kawasaki models produced after 1980, the 7th digit of your motorcycle’s VIN (it is a letter) is critical in identifying the model of motorcycle you own. For example, if you own a 2000 ZX6, and the 7th digit of the VIN is an E, then you own a 2000 ZX6 E; If you own a 2001 Vulcan 1500, and the 7th digit of the VIN is a G, then you own a 2001 Vulcan 1500 G. Please confirm the 7th digit of your VIN number before placing your order.
